Message from Maria Riley-Ward candidate for Heanor West
Posted on 08. May, 2010 by Cllr Lewis Allsebrook in Local News
I would like to thank those of you who voted for me in the 2010 election.
We all knew it would be a tall order because we suspected that many would vote Conservative as a way of getting Labour out of government and we were proved correct.
Am I disappointed? No.
And the reason? Judy Mallaber lost her seat in parliament.
Not only did she lose her seat but she didn’t turn up until the result was due to be announced. While everyone else turned up at 10pm, the arrogant Mallaber thought she was above watching the verification and count and entered the arena at around 3am.
You would have thought that she would leave with grace, but not Mallaber. No, she demanded two recounts. She made a complete spectacle of herself and at one point her own entourage deserted her leaving her standing on her own looking bewildered.
By 3pm the following day, with the counters sore and tired, the local election votes still to be counted and with Mallaber and her election agent contesting three, yes three, spoilt votes, it looked as if she would demand yet another recount. People weren’t happy, you could see their faces drop and whispers of ‘oh no, not again’ could be heard.
Mr Carney, the returning officer, finally put his foot down and we all sighed with relief.
Mallaber lost by 536 votes. No amount of counting and recounting would give her the victory she desperately desired and the Conservatives Nigel Mills won the day.
Her gravy train entered the station and she exited. No longer can she claim the £64,000 yearly wage and no longer can she claim those lovely expenses she has been so used to. She now has to get out and get a proper job like the rest of us, one that pays £5.80 an hour. That is if she can find one. She will of course be due a £64,000 pay-off to get her ‘accustomed’ to her new life.
I have one thing to say to Mallaber… for God’s sake get a new jacket and spruce yourself up, because you really did look a mess on election day.
Oh, and please ask your Nazi boot-boys that if they have a problem with the BNP to pick on our men and not a woman on her own.

It was an encouraging night for the BNP locally.
Nearly tripled our previous general election vote.
Saved our deposit for the first time.
Beat UKIP and the other non hoper (though at least the Monster raving loony party bloke added a bit of humour to the proceedings lol).
There is a good core voting base for the party locally now. If we can achieve these numbers despite the usual squeeze expected by smaller parties in a general election, then the sky is the limit for local elections next year.
Well done all involved in not only consolidating, but expanding BNP support in Amber Valley.

Maybe Her loser minions who find it necessary to approach and attempt to intimidate a woman walking on her own !
For goodness sake, grow up and think of what is best for Your country and not just what's best for yourself …..
