‘Red, White, and Blue Festival’ not returning to Amber Valley

Report by Cllr Lewis Allsebrook![]()
This weekend it was announced that the Red White and Blue Family Festival will not return to Denby Village, this year. In fact there will be no national BNP Festival this summer, however key BNP activists will be taking part in team building events and localised social events will take place across the East Midlands.
It was at the East Midlands BNP Regional Organisers meeting last weekend, where confirmation of the news was made.
In making the decision the BNP leadership took into account information that I forwarded regarding underfunding of Derbyshire Police, threatening Islamic counter-terrorism measures. In 2008 counter-terror measures cost around £3m.
The leadership were surprised and concerned to discover that Derbyshire has been used for “terrorist training purposes related to almost every single terrorist plot within the UK” to quote a Derbyshire Police report.
The threat of the Labour sponsored rent-a-mob, diverting scarce Police resources away from vital counter-terror operations to supervise protest was a key consideration in the decision not to return to Derbyshire.
This decision can no longer be rolled back for the Codnor-Denby Lane site because the land owner Alan Warner has now continued his normal farming activities. It is illegal to hold the festival on land that’s not been free of agricultural animals for more than 3 months.
Running and setting-up the RWB Festival is very labour intensive and can consume whole months of key activists time. At a time of huge organisational steps forward, it was also felt that key people would be
better utilised by focusing them on the upgrade of the party election machine.
Last year when anti-BNP protestors left Denby Village they strewn their used posters all over Codnor-Denby Lane. Michael Clarke and I cleared up after them, at least that’s one job we won’t need to do this year. Pictured left is Alan Warner throwing “Stop the BNP” posters into a skip.

I came, with my family and six other carloads from Belper, to protest at last year's RWB festival (we're all, of course, pretty glad it's not happening this year. An embattled leadership not wanting the Proles getting together, maybe?).
We each took away a carboot – load of debris, and made complaints, as locals, to UAF and the Unite Union about the litter (none of us from Belper are UAF members or affiliated to any other group).
We may be opponents, with diametrically opposite views on just about everything, but thanks are due for helping out with the cleanup.

I’m glad to see at least one “local lefty” with some sense of public spirit. I know of at least half a dozen local people who ended their membership of Unite the Union as result of the general disrespect that was shown by the union for our local area.
As for the reference to George Orwells book ‘1984’, I think it’s the LibLabCon that would prefer the “Proles” don’t get together and rise up against them. Why else have they introduced draconian measures such as the ‘smoking ban’ that has contributed to the closure of pubs where people traditionally get together and talk? On the contrary the BNP are great supporters of people getting together and our membership will still have plenty of opportunity to do so.
I suggest you take a fresh look at the BNP, you may find your views are not diametrically different to ours. You never know, you may like what you see.

With regards to amount of money spent policeing R W B it was the loony left that needed such a high level of policeing. Where ever the BNP go we will meet this opposition. So what are we being told? That BNP members must suffer for these thugs behaviour?

If missing one weekend of fun and enjoyment at the RWB saves the Police enough funds to prevent just one terrorist attack I think that's a better use of Police resourses.
Accepted it's not the BNP that incur the cost, but as you say the loony left will follow us anywhere. Perhaps this means RWB needs to take place in a county where the Police are not hugely underfunded and to boot not a hot spot for terrorist plotters.
BNP members are not going to suffer, plenty of BBQ's, socials get-togethers and meetings will be taking place over the summer.

b n p growth in membership and theinflunce in british polotics will stem these terrorist attacks red white and blue has been a platform for attracting new members myself and family but as you well know it was what attracted our parlimentry candidate in amber valley as he has stated many times new members is what is needed

BNP growth in the "Long Term" is the answer if you want to get tough on Terror. But in the mean time we don't have that power.
The BNP only has the power to decide to hold RWB in Derbyshire or not. If they do the inevitable protest comes and £1m is swallowed from the Derbyshire Police budget, if we don't that money can be spent in other policing area's such as the fight against terror.

Wake up, the left's disrepects the land and its people. Sheeple who believe what they see on television and everything they read. There is nothing fascist about Indigenous Rights, which the BNP is the only party to protect. I am an Indigenous Canadian – Native North American or North American Indian, from the Dene Nation. If a person thinks that there are no such thing as Indigenous British Peoples, then it is all to obvious, that they do not believe in the rights of the other Indigenous Peoples of the World. Not all Indigenous People are brown, stop discriminating against people because the colour of their skin which in this case is white.

I'm not too bothered about it myself. I think the party has probably outgrown this event.
Although it is great to meet and get together with other members, there are other ways to do that, ie, online, smaller group meets, etc.
Every year the leftwing media infiltrate the site and goad someone who has had to much to drink or isn't thinking about their actions into saying or doing something that they can use against the party the next day.
We can do without such publicity which only plays into the false image the media try to concoct about the BNP.
